I usually skip ads with no picture, be it here or Craigslist etc.
I've bought quite a few things where pics were not posted and funny thing is that on occasion I'll post something for sale without pics, like new brass, and if someone asks for pics I refuse to sell to them.

And then there are members who don't post prices in their ads...
I have purchased with both pics and without pics posted. The ones with pics posted were a lot quicker as a step was removed. Goes from "I'll take it" to "let me see what you have".

Once I pay $25 I'll post pics. Thing is, lots of window shoppers who don't actually want the item or have the money will pass by a no pics add and save me time corresponding. Used is used, l'll send pics of the worst parts so no buyers remorse. Selling or buying stuff that is PRISTINE for higher prices isn't for me.
