Browning doesn't make the M2 anymore, the two contractors for the M2 that I know of are General Dynamics (http://www.gd-ots.com/armament_systems/ics_m2a1.html) and Tactical Ordnance (http://www.usord.com/).

General Dynamics LW50MG, General Electric GAU-19 and Alliant Techsystems was/is producing a 50bmg that's pretty much a scaled down version of the M242 Bushmaster that's in the US Army's BFV. Only the LW50MG is designed to be an infantry support weapon. The latter two are produced for light attack helicopters, HMMWVs and ships.

Those guns need to basically be vehicle mounted as they are chain driven (chain guns) and need a strong power source to run the feed mechanism.
Keeping it real on the range since before there was a CGN.
