Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but how is 1899$ for a rebuilt Garand supposed to be exciting when the current average for Garands is around 1500-1800$?
I may be missing something glaringly obvious so apologies in that case.

Regarding the barrels the James River website says "We utilize very good to excellent condition GI barrels but those desiring to shoot in the CMP Garand Match can substitute a new Criterion barrel." Your website states "...and new manufacture Criterion barrels". I take this to mean that all your Garands will have the new Criterion barrels. Is that correct? I'm keen to pick one of these up but I want to know exactly what I'm getting.
Thanks.
Just got off the phone with JR and we have confirmed these guns are all original using standard GI barrels that are guaranteed 4 or less in the throat and 2 or less at the muzzle using original armory specifications. Only things not original are the springs internally and the stocks.
will more be coming after the first 100 are sold out? Or is this it for a long time?
Hrm...sitting on the fence on this one. Would have preferred the new barrels though.
