I'm leery about what I've purchased now -- ironically I got a call last night from Wanstalls about my rifle being shipped next week and enquiring about the remainder of payment.

I think most people are satisfied. I am.

An other cool thing on mine is that the bolt is the same mfg month as the receiver. There's a good chance these are original the each others

Several years back, I ordered a USMC Springfield sniper clone from JRA and had Irunguns import it for me. The receiver and scope had small gobs of some greasy substance on them. There were brown stains underneath and they never came out. When queried about this, JRA suggested Kroil to remove them, and after that didn't work, they stopped answering my e-mails. I've had two M-1 rifles from them and they were well fitted, however the three Springfield clones from them all needed a fair about of tweaking to function well. The bolt handles all touched the stock and they drilled a 3/8 inch hole in the foreend for attaching the 1/8 inch front band screw. There were a few other issues that needed fixing.
Jacketed bullets - What a relic; a throwback to the twentieth century. Real men shoot cast.

If you're Ryan, we spoke on the phone less than an hour ago so you could collect the second installment. Have no fear mate, that last post was after a long day. I've had nothing but solid service and products from you cats over the years. I can hardly wait until she's in my hands.

Aestus, have you been in touch with Wanstalls? They seem like a pretty stand up business. I would suspect they'll make it right.
Yeah, I've been in contact with Gary. Showed him the pictures in the thread, and he sent me a return label for the rifle to mail back to them so they can take a look at fixing/replacing it for me.

Also Gary is awesome to deal with.

Kind of what I expected. I've only done business with them once but they have a good rep around here and that seems to be well earned. Hope your issues get resolved quickly.

Has anyone else received a rifle with a damaged muzzle/crown?
