I'ts insane that one would need this. Its insane that this is even a thing! I would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 but I would also rather not be charged into financial ruin and banned from owning guns because of something everyone should have the right to. I'm glad I have dual citizenship because I'm moving to Texas where I don't get thrown in jail for defending my family and property. I love the country, but not the bureaucracy.

Also yes, I will be getting this insurance ASAP

“The crowns are using the process as the punishment, and they’ll go forward with charges they know are frivolous charges or incorrect charges in order to weigh a punishment on this person because they can’t get a conviction, so they’ll punish you financially.”

I'd like to know about the possibility of counter-suits for malicious prosecution, if that's even a thing here.

The next addition should be the ability to sue and recoup all court costs against the crown or LEO after having all charges dropped. This may deter many crazy charges.

Having said that I have purchased Capri 3rd party Firearm insurance and feel it is well worth the piece of mind.

ive thought about this too. countersuits for wrongful accusations as well( like the example on the website of the disgruntled coworker) although it could be argued that thats legal offence not legal defence.

i dont know anything about these companies/brokers (Capri insurance, DAS canada) although Mr. Hipwell being a client/customer does lend credence to it in my book.
