This ruling is complete BS, how could they be satisfied with the receiver but not happy with the parts on the rifle? It's contrary to established precedence.

Anyways keep up the good fight Marstar.

THis is BS. It is the receiver that determines the firearms, not the part.

Pfff, so if I put the flashsuppressor of an AK on a Rem 700, the Rem 700 is a prohib. That is just retarded.

I hope hope this is clear to you, it has me all confused to hell

    John
Yup - I'm confused. I guess there would be no way to fight this in court? Or costs would be prohibitively expensive given the value of the rifles?

I'd donate cash to help fund the legal proceedings - I'm serious.

WHAT in gods name is the RCMP thinking.

Firearm is non-resricted as long as it has no stock, since the stock is prohibited. Makes tons of sense..... To someone... Somewhere...

    Thanks Marstar.

I could not begin to imagine how much work is involved in an undertaking like this.
From travel to European nations, meetings in factories, long hours on the phone and dealing with the Canadian Bureaucracy....just to name a few things.

I hope you work out a favorable resolution. It would be a shame that your company has take a large hit like this providing us with products we love.

Now.. So can you just sell the receivers? Strip the so called 'FA' parts out and replace them??

I understand that a lot of capital is tied up because of this but I do not understand how the following three points amount to any type of success against the RCMP's unprofessional behaviour:

    1. The meeting was productive
    2. You are Seeking Resolution
    3. The rifles will remain prohibited

I'm glad it was productive. You deserve compensation, but not at the expense of allowing the RCMP to act in this manner. No firearm is safe, if they are allowed to arbitrarily re-classify rifles at will. Please explain points 1 and 2. It would clear up a lot.
