I think he means what ended up being the problem with the gun after the guy sent it in to have it inspected.

Yes! Having read the poor reviews of the early US assembled ones, I was turned off , but, upon further research, it seems as though quality control issues have been ironed out. I'm still doing my due diligence though, before spending close to $1,000....

I'm sure that John got meo1981's problem all sorted out, but was wondering how such a thing could have happened....

My hope is that Marstar will have some new stock in soon, as I'm looking for a .357, with the .38 elevator installed....Preferably the 20" octagon... Is there any time-line on a new shipment John? I do understand the issues with promises from the factory, and the hassles with export/import.....
Might have to go with the 24 1/4" barrel, if the wait is too long...

In the comments on your video, of the '73 SA revolver, you mention a labour dispute at the factory. Is this still an ongoing issue? And, is this why so many of the Chaparrels show as out of stock?
    I'm considering the combo package....

The factory has been closed for 9 months, it does not look good....

When you are closed that long your customers move on....

I have no idea at this time what, if anything will happen

I love your site, and look at it all the time! :D

Oh, that is bad news about the factory!! So, the only .357 1873 rifles that you have are the ones with the 24 1/4" barrel? And, no new stock coming....perhaps ever??
    It aint rocket science!!
