What do we look for ?
Of course you must have a PAL.... You must be able to pass a security check.... Be registered with the Controlled Goods Directorate.... in short, a spotless background....

Able to use a computer running e mail programs, excel, Word, Wordperfect, speak, read and write English, French an asset, other languages welcome.

Be able to speak and work with the public, our customers cover the whole field, from very limited knowledge to very advanced collectors and shooters....

Marstar serves police depts, MOD in Canada and abroad, several foreign governments, many industries in munitions and weapons production, we also provide most of thw weaponry seen in the motion pictures of the past 25 years....

As for experience, the more the better.... As for the military it depends on what you did in the forces....

AT the moment we have employees who are specialists in many fields, sales, public relations, advertising, firearms, munitions, we have a computer "teckie", a professional photographer, web master, machinist, etc, etc....

As we speak we have employees hard at work in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Far East.... We offer something for everyone.

Marstar is planning some very interesting projects for 2010 so we will be looking for some unique individuals.

The only way I would consider "branches of Marstar" would be franchise agreement....

I am simply too old to look at running more than I already have on my plate....

I am trying to back out of the day to day operations here in Canada and allow some of my excelelnt staff to take over....

Maybe I'll even site back and consider a book....

    John,

    That's one book I'll buy.

I'm still a bit away from retirement, but it sounds like an interesting idea....next time we bump into each other, I'll buy a coffee and we can chat.

I'm not certain I understand your question....??

If you mean our history of offshore facilities I can offer a brief summary.... We had an extensive operation in the UK for years, until the gun laws changed so we closed down and moved out....

We ran a warehousing and distribution operation in Norway for a few years until that country pretty well ran out of surplus and unfortunately my bussiness partner passed away....

We were the first western company permitted to open offices in Bulgaria (before the revolution)
we operated there for a couple of years until it was no longer profitable to do so....

By far our largest offshore operations were (are) in the former Yugoslavia, before the war we maintained facilities in almost every republic within that country as a result of the wars we closed down and moved out of Sarajevo, Pristina, Scopia, etc,etc.... We now are centered in a base outside of Belgrade in Serbia.

We are surplus buyers, if goods are offered we try to be there....

Back the OP, Looking forward to getting my hands on a italian m14. If there is a list of pre orders being drawn, please advise. I asked where there were more m14s on the last of the m14s thread and was warned not to be smart, so I figured I'd ask before they were all gone this time.

The history and employment posts were highly entertaining. Write that book please, it'd be something worth reading.
