    PAL to Rpal upgrade status:

May 29th app received in Miramichi
June 12th online - credit card charged $40
July 16th ready for reference to call - called in within the hour
License issued within 2 min of reference calling in.

Not bad at all 48 days for license to be issued - took originally 49 days for the non-restricted to be issued earlier this year. Who cares, I'm happy and goin' shoppin'!!

Maybe what they say about Friday issues is true!
Hmm, maybe, maybe not. Mine chaged on a Thursday but it was an upgrade from PAL to RPAL. Might have made a difference.

I made an account to update the thread with details for a recent new RPAL application in Ontario.

    • Exams exams May 23/24, 2015
    • Stamped tests Results arrived in mail May 31 or June 1.
    • Sent application June 2
    • Received application June 4
    • Reference called July 20
    • RPAL card arrived in my mail box between July 26 and July 31, 2015

I was out of town during the week that the CFO-stammped test results were delivered and the week when the license arrived. The date ranges are the earliest and latest the letter could have arrived. Unfortunately I cannot be more specific.

I am certain of the application receipt date as I sent it signature-required; that seemed appropriate for a parcel containing personal information and credit-card details

The website was not compatible with my computer so I am unable to comment on the application process and how it is reflected online.

Until the references are called, they won't know for sure if they will decide to issue the license or not...

So it wouldn't make sense to make up the card for someone in whatever program they use to make them, if they end up not issuing it in the end...

    wasted time.
