As for the app.. it won't hurt you overall since the letter will give 90 days... it just means your app will take way more than 28 day min... but no harm done in the end (assuming you pass the tests that is)

Passed both NR and R today 95%+...........
Examiners will send results to CFO
They said it should take about three weeks to get them back.
Will just wait and see "when".......
As I understand it my 28 days started back on the day they
received my app. 24th of Sep is the official date.
I'll try to find out tomorrow if they'll do my phone interview
in view of today's results and pending reception of my "Official Results".
And I'll ask (really nicely) if it's OK for my guarantors to phone in
for their interviews.

Today is exactly 3 weeks since I passed both NR and R exams. So far, no exam results yet. However, I received a letter regarding my application that stated I'm missing some information, so I called in on Friday. The lady was super nice, confirmed it's the results missing and to fax them once I get them. I didn't ask about the interviews because I figured that my application is considered incomplete without the results, so no point to even ask. Please let us know if you hear otherwise.

Ok so my saftey course is set for Oct 15-16 so I should...

1) Take photo/fill out form, ready for mailing, leaving the saftey test result box balnk
2) Do the course, pass the test, then fill out application saying I passed but results are not inclosed
3) Send off form to start 28 day wait period while waiting for official test results
4) FAX or MAIL my official test results?
5) Call in 7 days after results recieved by CFC
6) Call CFO 7 days after application approved

Oh and bear in mind that your app while they have it will just sit in a pile doing nothing till they have those results in hand.. (damn stupid as usual).

Simple... they have ALL the info needed in that case other than the test results.

In the meantime while waiting for those to arrive they could do things like... call YOU.. your references... do background checks etc..

And don't even start on the BS of the ON CFO dealing with tests.. to send to you to send to the CFC to call you etc and then to sent to the ON CFO...

Everything else could be done while waiting for those results w/o any harm being done at all.. but they don't want you to know it.


Reality is if they actually did their JOB with some common sense there is no reason at all for the avg app to ever to need more than 28 days max.

Yeah, but what you're missing is that the 28 day waiting period is only for us, the unfortunate in Ontario, and they process all Canada. So, now they have two categories of applications: Incomplete and Complete, and they work on processing Complete applications. What you are suggesting is that they add a third category, such as Incomplete, but good for processing...

Anyway, at my job I would prefer to have the process structured to keep it clean and streamlined, so I am willing to forgive Mirimichi for holding my app without doing anything while they are waiting for the results. And I definitely don't feel screwed up, because I knew BEFORE I even thought about sending an application that they need the complete application before they process it, so I have noone to be mad at.
