Just because it arrived in Mirimichi, doesn't mean anything. They won't look at it for about a month, once you see a status update on their website then you'll know you're in the home stretch. Just watch for you credit card to be billed, that's when you'll know that the paper work is being processed and you should receive a call in a few days.
For example, this was my timeline:

Just mailed paperwork to RCMP. PAL & RPAL. Now the wait. I have started shopping already.
UPDATE:
Just checked the website:
Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. If you have not received your license within 2 weeks please contact the Canadian Firearms Program Toll Free number.
So that process was 4 weeks from the time they received it.
Edit to add: I asked my two references if they were contacted by the RCMP and apparently no one called them.

Alberta. Rpal upgrade from pal.
Jan 11 - application arrives Miramichi.
Feb 2 - appears on website.
Feb 4 - have a reference call in.
Feb 9 - approved and mailed.
Feb 18 - in my hand. After long Canada Post trip.
Not too bad I figure.
Hey guys, so I've taken all your advise and waited for the process to continue. Today something odd happened however and I'm not sure if it's typical or just unique to my situation. I'm in Ontario and I received an email today from an AFO requesting an in person interview. I have replied with a date the meets the available times but I'm not sure what to expect from this. Has anyone else experienced this process? Thanks again to all in advance. Just to be clear only asking if this type of request is normal. I thought interviews were done over the phone.
