    Marlin 1895SBL

Big Punch from the Marlin 1895SBL .45-70 Government

    $1059.99

I was almost drooling over this baby when I entered into inventory...it's a real beauty. It deserves a good home.

The best Government I know of is the .45-70 Government!

    Cheers,

    Gary

It exists in the wild for sure. But it isn't on their website right now. Which means it probably is not in stock.

Personally, I would be very careful buying any Remlins online (even though wanstalls is awesome), since the fit and finish of every single 1895SBL's that I have handled in the last 2 years had been ####.

Sights misaligned, rough actions (or actions that feel like they will get stuck at any moment), ill-fitted stocks, etc.

I really hope the issues will be worked out soon (if they haven't already with the newest runs) because I realllyyyyyy want one.

You got me with this post!!!!.......I would buy one of these no problem at all. I have a new run Marlin 336W and I'm impressed with the fit and finish. The wood is perfect and it fits the receiver with no gaps. No issues at all with the sights or scope. It's their cheapest model so I'm not concerned with the action being a little rough. I can work on that myself. Now about the 1895SBL?.....

The original posting was from 2010...

I bought one of these from another supplier recently and they still had some I stock. By far the nicest level I've ever owned. Mine was flawless out of the box and after about 6 months of range time I haven't had a single issue.

Where'd you get yours? I might be in the market for one?

Friend of mine had one. Currently on the fence about buying one considering the hesitation around Remington/Marlin products... Would buy one if I knew I'd get a goodie.

Incidentally what's up with all these necrothreads? Has the zombie apocalypse started? *Begins hording ammo and beans*
