If you like smaller, then the Commander length (1911A1C) version is the one for you. Commander length 1911's have a 4.24 inch barrel while a Government length 1911 has a 5 inch barrel. There is not much difference between the new models other than the length of the barrel and slide, really... The new style trigger guard is not to everyone's liking, but I find it easy to over look in a gun that costs less than $400. :D

I have a Gov. in the parkerized flat finish. I really like it. I wish it had adjustable sights though. I may get one of the Commanders this fall.

After a little research, I found a New Model Norinco 1911A1 45 ACP Commander from another vendor today. It does indeed have 3 dot sights, 3 hole trigger, enlarged safety and mag. and slide releases. So, I'll assume the next Marstar order will have the same!

    O.k

Is there a New Commander available from Marstar??

If it is under $400 I might finally try out this Norinco 1911 hype
