I've got a Yugo Mauser on the way, but purchased it knowingly that 8mm surplus has gone the way of the Do-do bird. Fortunately there are good commercial loads with re-loadable brass. My rule of thumb for surplus ammo is to buy it generously. Dry markets can go on for a long time, if not forever. Sometimes I buy crates of ammo in calibers that I don't even own, simply because i know it may be the last inventory for the next decade. Milsurp rifle sales would be better if you could get ammo to feed them, but get used to it. Its unfortunately the way of the future. Shooting is not a cheap hobby.

I think that train has come and gone. And it didn't stop at our station.

I was getting ready to give up on waiting and just buy a pile load of components and make my own. I'll try to hang on a bit longer, but that itch to shoot my mausers is getting to be too much

Are you referring to the Yugo 1999 sniper grade ammo?

OIs this stuff Boxxer primed or Berden, not that it will make any difference ill probably buy at least a crate or two, but just wondering, reloadiable surplus brass is like the toy in the cereal box.
I'm no Superman, but don't worry, it's a common mistake.

I don't know about the US market, only what John, himself, is quoted to have said.
