SHOT SHOW 2011 - Steyr HS-50M1

Similar to the standard HS-50 but with a 5 round magazine mounted on the side as shown. The remainder of the rifle has not been changed from the HS-50. Mount comes standard with the M1 and has a 20 MOA declination.

I think I'd be scared of getting that Magazine in the mouth during recoil

It is on the left side. Unless you allow your rifle to recoil 3 feet during firing, not an issue for a right handed shooter. Not left handed friendly.

Awesome!!! I wish I could afford toys like these I'd use the mag to hold my food as I am shooting

This is in case you have far too many $8 per pop 50BMG rounds on hand, and not enough time to blast them off with a single shot!

I'm obviously no expert in these matters but why all the rails? Are people planning to mount flashlights and ghost ring sights on their .50 cal rifles now?

i would assume to mount laser designators or something.... god i hope the tactical trend hasnt gotten to the point that people are mounting lights and #### on a precisions rifle

Yup for IR Lasers and Night Vision systems.

epps has one in stock at the moment. the guys had it on the shelf when i was in there earlier today. website says $6780.00 for the shelf price.

Unless I'm totally screwed up here, the magazine is on the left side of the rifle, therefore if you're shouldering it with your left shoulder, it is to the left of the left side of your face, AKA, on the other side of the stock making it unfriendly for right-handed shooters, no?
