Why the hell is the circuit judge restricted?!? Why would an 18.5 inch barreled shotgun be a restricted firearm?

Wording from the CFC is that since the The Circuit judge revolver is legally classified as a handgun, thus making it
restricted by definition. Therefore the 18.5" version (which is based on the exact same action) , becomes classified as restricted as well.

    There ya go...

Wait, doesn't the revolver carbine here (at the bottom): http://www.marstar.ca/gf-pietta/Piet...avy-brass.shtm set precedent?

    Oh, and welcome back, Foxer!

That is $&(#$ assinine. There's a few guns who share actions with pistols - that does not make them a pistol.

What a waste - i actually thought "perfect little truck gun" and was going to give you guys a call till i saw restricted. There's NO reason for that, it's clearly not a pistol.

Who's running the show and what is there mandate?

Are they bored or do they just hate the idea of non restricted guns?

It must be nice to get paid by the tax payer and then just make it up as you go along....

The fact that this classification surprises anyone makes me laugh! FFS people it's the RCMP!

If it's classified As a pistol of course it will be restricted. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it's classified as a pistol in the states as well.

That is rediculious, too bad to. It's a nice looking gun and would've been a nice one for those trips in the bush
