why did the price go up so much? and not just a little bit. thats huge.

The price increased because you are now getting a complete deployment kit less optics, the original gun I obtained only came with a spare magazine and tool kit.

I should let JR respond BUT not having yet had my first cup of coffee and in a cranky mood....
1. if someone were to take the time to compare pricing of what the original kit offered versus the new listed kit ,they would see that there is substantially more included in this latest offering.
2.by adding in the costs of the new items, you would note, that this is not a substantial price increase over original offering.
3.michaelk...what can I say. Please take this in the kindest terms.A little research before posting could prevent the 2 erroneous comments you made.
(the "bullpup" discussion again) and checking the DTA homepage would give you a very quick price range of these firearms.

That being said....I'm going for coffee now and will try not to be "Old and Ugly"

Lots to say to this, but I definitely don't let myself get worked up over things being posted on the internet, you should try to relax. So I got the price wrong, did it make your day by correcting me?

What was the original cost?

$4999 for the .338
$1499 for the .308 barrel conversion

There is a small increase on some of the barrel conversion...

How about some pics?:) I guess when you see all the gear you get for the extra Benjamin's, it makes more sense.
Just like when people go 'wow' when they see the AI transit case packed with goodies (for $13,000) :p

Picture or it's not in stock!

Whoa............what happened to the price?

EDIT: I see that includes the Deployment kit so the rifle didn't go up in price as much as I thought.

I will ask this publicly in case others have the same question. Does the "Operator's tool kit x 1 " include the torque wrench for the barrel screws? Thanks for clarifying.

Wonder why the price are so high up here, I check one out state side, Nevada, price was $3000USD.

$4999 for the .338
$1499 for the .308 barrel conversion

There is a small increase on some of the barrel conversion...

barrel conversions were just over $1200.00

the gun with one conversion was $5000.00

just the platform no barrel was in the $3000-3100 range.

when i stared this it was not my intent to make the shooting edge look like gougers its desert tactical arms that raised the prices , i was just trying to see if they gave a reason for the hike in price. just the barrel conversions have gone up a lot everything else is minor.

on a side not Freedom Gunworks makes barrel conversions for it in any caliber you want and guaranties the same moa, they were doing it for the same $1200.00 don't know if they raised the price at the same time or not.

The covert model has a much shorter foreend as it uses a 16" barrel for a suppressor system.

JR

NICE!
