Rossi takes the XS sight set #LG-0001-5. You'll still want to get the Skinner .650" tall front sight for it as the XS one is not tall enough to bring POI down for close in shootin'. I got my sights from Brownells on special
order which didn't cost any more and only took about 10 days longer to get to me than normal.

Just installed recently arrived rail and chopped to normal size and rewelded/reblued lever. With the full stock, Skinner fiber optic front and rear peep,- which, joy of joys, still works with the rail - all that is left is to mount a suitable red or green dot and project will be complete LOL

Would it be possible to put this style stock/grip on a mare's leg or would it lead to legality issues?

Not if they are the same lenght as the original ! the overall lenght must be the same or longer not shorter!

Those looking for a carry option, the Condor drop leg tornado holster works well with a stock Ranch hand.

HSM .44 Magnum "Bear Load" Ammunition?

Does anybody have any experience with this ammunition in the Ranch Hand, or in any Rossi 92 action? It's made in Montana but available in Canada ... 305 grains WFN (Wide Flat Nose) Gas Check lead bullet at 1250 fps with 1075 ft.lbs. of energy at the muzzle. A box of 50 costs $65.

I don't have experience with that load but a nutter made me some Hard cast 340grn loads that work fine. I've got the specs at home and will post them when I return in 1 week (24th)

If I remember I did a bunch of research and found that the frame is used for the 454 casull as well in the rosi 92 so should be plenty strong.

Thanks. Yes, I knew that Rossi 92's are available in 454 Casull (after it had been discontinued/pulled for a while), which says something about the strength of the action. I was also wondering about proper feeding (with those probably-longer-than-normal flat-nosed bullets) and shooting/knockdown perceptions.
