Please get your facts straight before making such statements.... You are are way off base here....

Apart from pending legal action, one of the main reasons we stopped importing their products was due to lack of support and quality control issues....

I don't get this sort of statement..

The RCMP can't arbitrarily deem something prohibited,

If it's deemed to be a variant of an already prohibited firearm.. then yes.

The RCMP tests and classify firearms according to the Firearms ACT

to deem a firearm prohibited outside of type requires a OIC and we have not seen such a thing happen for a long time.

Isn't the end result the same :D
    lol
Pre-orders are horrible for everyone involved. They never go smooth. We will not be doing a pre-order to bankroll this project.

The RCMP will spend tonnes of money and huge amounts of man hours with extremely well trained and well equiped people in order to make a firearm do something its not designed for so that they can prohib it. What makes you think that they can't or won't do it when ever possible.
Doesn't matter, anymore. We're only good for filling sandbags for floods and saving people during winter storms. Other-wise we're kicking posts and crazies who are over worked, over taxed, underpaid and never truly appreciated.

They should simply make the stock fixed. To keep the original look.

Having them made with a 12" barrel would make them non-restricted; however, that would essentially have to be a special run done for Canada.
