Here's a thought.... Why doesn't Marstar bring in some hot shot web identity consultant to put together a team to inventory every bit of stock that Marstar has, then build a whiz bang database that is tied to the stock system of their POS software and automatically updates quantities on their web site as well as deleting discontinued items. Then just to make sure everything runs without a glitch Marstar can pay a monthly database maintenence fee and have access to 24 hour help. Then just to be sure they can install multiple redundant servers and co-locate just to ensure 99% uptime.
And for all that you and I will only have to pay an additional 20 to 40 percent on all purchases all so that we don't have to pick up the phone or email Marstar to find out if they have something in stock. Awesome!
Hope you guys get right on that John.

....doesn't the web site already indicate if items are instock or out of?
either in the big colums or at the bottom right of the product?

Is that current info? I was in the market for a nice little 22 once apon a time but found that EVERYTHING was out of stock on the entire web site so I didn't bother wasting my time asking....I assumed Marstar had gone out of business and it was a dead web page. Now I know that it is just that it has never been updated.
I wonder how much business would pick up for them if it was at least semi current?

Yes it does, but that would take about 0.4 seconds to read. It's really a big time saver to go online and whine about it instead.

People wouldn't complain if there wasn't something wrong.

It says if it is in stock or not. Wherein lies the problem?

Probably reading skills and general overall intelligence.
