    Keep the pictures and info coming, I think thats an amazing adventure.

    And as I have no experience hunting, when you say that was the 27th bull on your 4th day, so that mean you hunted 27 animals, or 27 elephants specifically.

    Mind blowing stuff as I have been to Africa and have seen the size of an elephant up close. To take one down just seems tremendous to me! Great stuff!

    Thanks for all the comments, in answer to your questions;
    All the animals were wild!
    My only limit was max ivory of 70 lb per side.
    All the meat was eaten by the local people.
    The best tusk should be 65 -70 lb, the other 60 - 65 lb.
    Trophies, all I wanted and could afford. I will have the ivory, the Buff will be a head/shoulder mount and I will have the Hippo's skull with his ivory in it.
    He was the 27 bull Ellie that we saw but the first one who was a "shooter" as he had good ivory and we were in a position to stalk him.

    Hello John,

    Thanks for the answers to the questions. I am curious, as I understood Ivory could not be imported into Canada. How did you manage to do so/were you able to?

    Cheers,

    Care to elaborate, chances are that the Money Mr.Wolverive spent on permits pays for the conservation of many other Elephants and other game animals.

    If you have a problem with the legal taking of a game animal I would suggest you take up another sport. Or atleast not post in forums where others share their hunting stories.

    Congratulations on an very fine Elephant Mr.Wolverine. Did you shoot it in the heart? I had read that the 8-bore pure lead slugs often had a hard time reaching the elephants brain.
