Crate and tin, or crate and plastic?
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Crates were sealed but are of mid 80's vintage, if that helps.

With all the chinese and russian rifles being dumped in Canada, the demand for 7.62x39 ammo will only drive up the price. Very simple economics.

    Supply and demand....

My chinese sks will find a home at the bottom of a lake before I spend too much on ammo.... I have way better quality rifles to feed.:D

Theyre only fun when they are cheap to shoot, I hope the retailers of these rifles understand that?.

They will have to walk a fine line with the ammo prices to keep these "not far from junk" rifles afloat.

To drive prices down we need new manufacturers to get into the business to create some competition.

In the US its a monopoly industry (winchester, remington, etc)
In Canada, we lost all our manufactures to the USA, and rest went under because of politics.

Unfortunately the Cold War supply in Russia and the old USSR nations will dry up soon which prices will hike up.
    There's Mil-spec, and then there's Gunnutz-spec.
One is stringent, the other contains nuts.

I dont think you quite understand the circus show that will emerge with the 7.62x39 surplus ammo... it is the last frontier of the surplus world and when a demand is created by flooding the market with cheap guns, the retailers think they can get fat and rich by jacking prices on the cheap ammo.

I dont think its gonna work cause the rifles accuracy lacks in every way, so lets keep it fun, and fun to shoot. That means cheap ammo.... just my humble opinion.
