Even if it is mag actuated only (such as on the Yugo AK's---as soon as the mag is removed, the bolt closes).

Lack of "quick takedown pins? Just as long as it's easy to clean the vitals/receiver--which on a DGI design carbon/dirt gets in lots of places.

I'm not so hot personally on hunting (modern hunter version) rifles, but would have my (and others') interest in a heavy barrel varmint/long range version of your rifle. Incorporating the ability to accept "tacticool" aftermarket accessories would only help your market appeal to the widest amount of people possible.

Anyway, just a couple of quick thoughts....
Make NO mistake, this will NOT look like a Fudd gun, but we are trying to make it look less like a paramilitary firearms due to the fact that the feds have played the " it looks like a ??? so there fore it is a variant" despise there being no interchangeable parts at all game.

Easy take down is accomplished, as it will be D.I.
No need for adjustable gas block, typically they are just a source of grief anyway.

So having a goodly number of proprietary parts is not a problem?
I used to own an excellent XCR-L but you can't get match barrels, you can't get 6.5 Grendel barrels, etc.
A rifle which uses key AR10 parts such as trigger, barrel and grips would be a sure winner.

You just need to figure out where to put the "piston" on this gun

As for the name, please put a Canadian, Canada, Alberta, or Super Beaver somewhere in the name to scare away RCMP's gun classification trolls!

    Is your charging handle reciprocating?

Would be very interested if it takes the DPMS / SR25 style mag ( Magpul PMAGS).

Also one point would be the ability to take the DPMS / SR25 forends rather then the AR10. the threading is different in the 2. I think those are the 2 major differences.

DPMS / remington parts are much easier to get then AR10
If you treat one person like they are stupid it is descrimination. If you treat everyone like they are stupid it is a safety policy.

Are there any AR-10's that use M14 mags? It's probably the most common .308 magazine for a non-restricted rifle in Canada.

The lack of drop-free would suck, but oh well.

Sorry, and I hate to correct people, but that would be wrong. their are two common types of mags used in .308 AR type rifles. The most common is sometimes knows as the "DPMS" pattern mag. This is what is used in rifles such as the KAC and LMT offerings, other rifles like the upcoming RobArm XCR-M will use this type of mag. It has basically become the standard mag for modern .308 auto loaders.

The less common type is the "Armalite" pattern mag that armalite uses.

    They are not interchangeable.

However, their were a few rifles that were designed to take modified M-14 mags, but they were no longer really M14 mags though.
I'm no Superman, but don't worry, it's a common mistake.

    G3 mags.

The problem I have with AR10 mags.... 5 for $150 across the border. 10 for $275

    5 for $400+ here. LAME

That is why everyone wants a DPMS mag. $30 each for a Magpul.

AR10 mags would kill your Rifle. The cost is way to high.

I was under the impression that grabbing a magazine from your M305 and trying to use it in an AR-10 would not function. If that is the case, my comment stands.
