That way the haters and trolls won't waste a ton of bandwidth slagging the concept.
The project has actualyy been underway for just over 2 months of fulltime R&D. We are hoping we have covered all the bases, but who knows?
The RCMP decided that the GSG5 "looked like an MP5" despite not 1 part of either being interchangeable they declared the GSG5 to be prohibited based solely on looks Hopefully we will not get as ridiculous a decision.
I get you on that, its unfortunate that we all suffre from a few A** hats on here.

How did the test fires go in terms of accuracy?

Preliminary testing with AE 308 (crap ammo) looks very promising so far. We were more concerned about function testing when shooting it last night but it pulled off some pretty good groups despite being only a prototype which was nice. The plan is to get an indication from the government about classification. Then we can refine the prototype and concentrate on how much accuracy we can actually squeeze out of the gun.

its great to see innovation driving new products to the market Hopefully the trigger system offers some direct comparability to current AR offerings making it competitive.

The call I made to Ottawa last week was answered " your firearms are in the line up for inspection and classification".
So me being me I asked "how many brand new, never been done before guns do you have that are in for inspection and classification?"

The answer was " we are very busy".

So we wait, I do not want to get them riled as then they could for no other reason rule unfavorably.
    Gotta love the bureacracy

I guess it's hard to classify it when you have your thumb up your ass, huh?

I just stumbled upon this thread and I must say it's one of the best I have seen in a looooong time!

Nice work ATRS! I can't wait to see how this turns out.

I've read this whole thread and really like where this is going. My buddy and I were looking at XCR's for our hunting future. I have a bolt action .308 rifle for hunting, but REALLY want a semi-.308 similar to an AR platform that isn't restricted. If this is produced, and fits the bill, we'll shelve the XCR idea and go with what ATRS is proposing.
Cant wait to see the final product. Hope the feds aren't dicks about the classification. Good luck!
