    I believe the reasoning is somewhat along the lines of, "You can shoot down an airplane with a .50BMG semi auto, but not a bolt action".

    I was under the impression that the Browning M2 in semi-only configuration was non-restricted. Belt fed 50. Mmmm.... If only I had more money than brains.

    Those are the exception. Probably only because they're a bit on the spendy side.
