So, North sylva, ETA?
Love my Skorpion, I don't have a prohib license. The GSG MP5 and the Sig 522 are prohib because they were deemed variants of prohib guns. I believe the CZ61 is prohib ONLY because it's a .32, which is a prohib calibre. I think Skorpions dried up because of import/supply issues, but don't quote me on that.
I'm pretty sure the Vz. 61 Skorpion is prohibited by name. I don't know why the Vz. 91 isn't, but I'll take what I can get.
To me it's always seemed as though the 91's found there way into the country via a loop-hole, or grey area, or maybe somehow they were overlooked. As much as I'd personally love to add one to my collection, I can't help but feel like we're poking the dog a bit with this one!
The Scorpion is restricted. I saw a used one for sale at CRAFM last year... bloody expensive it was though.
"I like guns, I like the way they look,
I like the shiny steel and the polished wood.
I don´t care if they´re big or small,
if they´re for sale, hell, I want´em all!
I like guns, I like guns, I like guns!"
I got BFILES Skorpian and he got my BRS99 but someone else now has the BRS. Around and around we go.
I think they're both awesome and am super stoked people are trying to bring them in. If I want it, a dealer will sell it, and the RCMP let me have it-I'm happy.
The Cz91s are semi-auto rifles and therefore under the current BS regs it is deemed a new gun. The original Cz61 is classed as a pistol therefor being prohibited. Totally nuts.
Neither gun should be prohibited.
