    Gunblast.com lists this gun as having a 4.18" barrel which would make it 106.2mm and importable.

    The s&w website does not list a 106.2mm barrel for any version of this gun, however.

    Please find out from one of the s&w guys what the "official" barrel length is and if it is in-fact shorter than 106mm; please find out if they intend on making one for the canadian market.

    You probably should ask North Sylva because they are the importer of S&W.

    If we had these here, i would have to get one. If there was a .22 kit for the M&P I would buy that too. Glock has one. Damn!

    I'd be up for one of those if the price is significantly less than a .40.

    I'd pay up to $450 for one.

    Considering Sigs rimfires go for about 2/3 of the price of the centerfire AND they can be converted to centerfire, $450 seems a bit high for me but whateva

    I'll see your $450 and raise you $10... Discountgunsales.com (down in Seattle) has them for $419, so it would be nice if it were somewhere around the same price-point. (Note: their web-site lists the barrel as being 4.25, so there are a lot of different lengths being quoted on different sites.)

    I'll be watching this thread, as I've been liking the look of this pistol for a while now. Hopefully it makes its way up here soon!

    The only barrel length matters is the one listed by S&W.

    4.1" = 10.4cm = 104mm = Prohib
    In God we trust! Everyone else pays cash.

    Depends how it's measured.

    IIRC (correct me if I'm wrong, folks), Americans measure only the rifling, whereas we measure from the chamber all the way to the muzzle. A lot of guns that are classified as prohibited via barrel length just need to be measured by a verifier to be moved to restricted.
    If you're going through hell, keep going.

    S&W could solve the whole barrel length issue by just offering the M&P22 with a longer barrel with a threaded muzzle. How hard would that be for them to do? Not sure what they were thinking when they didn't make this an option for 2012. I sent them a email when the M&P22 first came out about the barrel length issue. Never heard a peep back from them. Would really like to buy one but until they get their act together I guess none will be coming to Canada.
