Not all earlier pins were potentially bad (there was a couple of generations/batches of evolution), those which do break (and which we imported) will be replaced out of inventory. We don't have enough pins here to sell at the moment (we will later), but we do have enough to replace any that break.
    Sounds good.
It never hurts to have spare parts though so be sure and let us know when you have spares available and I will place an order!
    Thanks.

So would someone comment whether or not dry firing will break the firing pin? Could it be dry fired as much as an AR15?

Any pix of the failure mode of the older firing pins?

(I do not use snap caps and will not be using them anytime in the future)

Hello, Nothing to do with dryfiring. Yes, can be dryfired like an AR15. Revised manufacturing process has already corrected the (potential) issue. Proceed as normal!

Mine in 10mm ( such a great caliber, i have the base model )is just an awsome rifle, over 700 rounds and not a single malfunction, and like it was said earlier get some extras mags, i've got a dozen G20 mags from a dealer, and get a Butler creek Luplula, and go for the big fun factor... JP.

From all your experiences, are pistol caliber carbines loud? Esp in 18.5"?

Are supersonic 9mm louder than 45acp subsonic?

Could 45acp subsonic be fired without hearing protection?(A couple shots, not extensively)

    What about 9mm subsonics?

    Lots of questions :P

We have replaced about 5 broken firing pins, no charge obviously.

Boomer74, was your TD originally purchased at AEI? I thought I was told that the carbine you own did not come from AEI. If not, is the original vendor not prepared to help?
We certainly do repair anything we sold either directly or through a dealer, but do not provide free warranty work for firearms that we have never had anything to do with.
If this firearm came through AEI, and you have a broken firing pin, please do let us know.
    PM sent...

Yes, it was purchased thru Arms East. And he had already had 1 pin replaced (last summer).

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanx !

Can anyone tell me if the magpul AFG 1 will fit on the TDC with the side rails or will it hit the side rails? I like the wergonomics of the AFG1.
