The 50 round drum mags for the PPS-50 are not pinned right?

it's still a bit unclear to me if there is a round limit for .22lr

Generally there is only a round limit with .22 of 10, to mags that can also be used in a pistol. Such as the S&W headache. If the PPS-50 mags don't fit in a pistol (which I can't honestly say if they do or not) and are only for use in a rifle, the mags can hold whatever!

no, no limit for rimfire long guns, except those that use a magazine that is also designed for a pistol. your good to go with your PPS50 drum mag, its legal.

With that being said. Does anyone have any experience with both the steel and synthetic drum mag?

I gogled the same thing. Not much complaints except the steel ones are a pain to load. Even if you have a tool. Can't find the synthetic so i got a steel one coming. Not to change topic but i had it out for the first time today #### me jamomatic piece of ####. I had one stove pipe and it got caught and some how took a chunk of wood out of the stock by the ejection port. After about 150 rounds it worked ok. Can't wait for the drum mag it's going to be a hoot:D

Was using the synthetic one the other day. Non-stop failures to feed. Yes the stick mags worked just fine. We're tinkering with it to see what might be the problem.

My drum mag hates almost all types of .22lr - if I feed it Stingers, every single one feeds perfectly and you can fire off the entire drum as fast as you can pull that trigger repeatedly. I have a video kicking around somewhere....I'll see if I can find it
