    Testing the XCR-M

Craig got out for an initial round of testing on the XCR-M this afternoon.

Temperture was -8C before the windchill. All shots off sand bag rest.

The rifle is John's personal rifle. It is fitted with a Schmidt & Bender PMII 3-12x50, mounted in an Accuracy International 1-piece mount. Other than fitting optics, she's bone stock from the factory.

With her 1/10 twist barrel, She really seem to favor the 168gr bullets. Initial testing proves hopeful as seen.

First target is Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr. Target squares are 1". Distance 100m.

Second target is Sellier & Bellot Match 168gr. Target Squares 1", distance at 100m again.

Imagine what some hand loads could do.

Not bad, looks like a winner in terms of accuracy.

These look good so far, if the hype is solid It is going to be a contender for my next NR .308 semi.

I wonder how ATRS's rifle will compare.
I'm no Superman, but don't worry, it's a common mistake.
