With all the NEA EmoRage that went down, I was really hoping the wait list would be cut down, or at the very least the EE would be flooded... Not the case apparently

More likely that a bunch of drama llamas who weren't sold on the gun in the first place were the most vocal about the negative publicity.
It would be interesting to see how many pre-orders were actually canceled. My guess is that in the grand scheme of things, it was very few.
