I don't even understand this at all.

It's not like these are rare or anything.

I don't think changing the M1 Carbine around will appeal to too many people. If the laws were different, one could import surplus M1 Carbines and have them flood the market. Ammo would be an issue, but a cheap gun is a cheap gun.

My 2 cents. Guys, sorry the put a damper on your enthusiasm, but I'm not sure if this will fly. If the laws get changed for the better, than we'll have a ton of M1s available on the market.

You can still get them if you have a restricted license, however.

Yeah, I should have clarified. Not on the market yet, but at least it's something to look forward to.
When they came for my Full auto machine gun, no one did a thing, as it didn't affect them. When they came for my Converted auto, they still said nothing. When they came for my Handguns and Semi-autos they were still too scared to say anything. When they came for my single shot bolt-action .22 rifle, there was no one left to help me.
Is this what we want to see in our future?

Hey, no worries......thanks for the info.
Good to know, as always, that John is bringing in something a little out of the ordinary.

I already have a carbine, but one with an 18.6 inch barrel would be fantastic, they're such a light, handy, useable gun, that it's a shame to be limited to range use. Given it's light to non-existant recoil, the 30 Carbine round is quite effective when the proper projectile is used. The 7.62x25Tok carbine is a Vietnamese invention, and was apparently very effective and required very little in the way of adjustment to the 'donor' carbine. Generally I'm something of a Norc whore anyway, so you know I'd buy one.
