Can you post some before and after pictures?

I will do that in the next few days.I do not really have any before pictures though.........but just try to picture a crappy parkerized surface on a typical Norc M14 vs. a beautiful clean jet black nitron finish.

Maybe Barney will chime in here, but how would that affect headspacing and chamber tolerances with the bolt face being treated as well?

    Hey Murdoc,

Any pictures of the matte finish in the stock yet? Or when the pre-nitron-blacked M14's will be for sale?

    Thanks!

I would suggest to anyone to just spend the extra money to buy a properly made M14 by Springfield Arms, after buying my Norinco version M14 in 2011 and having the numerous problems:

    - over indexed barrel with my left canted front iron sights
    - the extreme head space of .095" over spec size,
    - the included black plastic norinco stock being so flimsy that is cracked and broke within 3 months and about 200 rounds of use, requiring me to buy an aftermarket USGI stock,
    - the rear iron sight being so loose that it cant hold elevation through recoil
    - the front flash suppressor being welded on, and having metric threading which denies me to use any american made accessories...
    - 4 MOA accuracy

Pretty UnFantastic work from Norinco, and now they are charging near double what they did 3 years ago. If you have one already, great, but new Norinco Purchases are not worth it anymore.
