That is really cool! I would love to see if there are other stock options in the near future.

    takedown

Why do they insist on sticking with the 18.5in barrel??

The gun is supposed to be COMPACT...why not use the 16in COMPACT barrel??

    Ruger is weird that way.

16in bbl and a a telesoping stock would be more ideal.

It would also be hideous. This gun breaks down to 18.5" long, that's plenty tiny. No point in shortening the barrel as the stock/receiver component is still 18.5" or longer- the case wouldn't get any smaller with a shorter barrel. Plus, what's 2 1/2"? Nothing. They wanted a good looking little takedown, not an AR telestocked embarrassment, and a foot and a half long doesn't need to get any smaller really- that's tiny.

Didn't take these guys long to pounce on the Papoose shortage. The whole kit seems kinda heavy & bulky for a survival rifle, but something about it is definitely screaming "Buy me!"

Honestly, I'd probably grab the Ruger over the Papoose if I had the choice. The mags alone make it the clear winner.
If you're going through hell, keep going.
