would it be possible to get one made without the MAC-15 designation on it?

The RCMP requires the receiver marked with the model designation, manufacturer, and serial number.
A newly designed, black rifle that would be classified as non-restricted is definitely something of interest for us. However, that is a process that takes years of R&D, and several million dollars. The Magpul Masada/Remington ACR is a great example of this.
The planned cost of our upper is $149.99
Will the upper be customizable as well? Probably not, but I wondered.

Not really. It will be T-marked as well as have our manufacturer's marking on it. It's just a standard A3-style upper produced from a 7075 forging.
That works for me. T-marked is where it's at.

Just as a little aside has anyone seen any good deals on lower parts kits lately? I was going to wait until that NEA sale but that looks like that might not happen for awhile and I want to start putting this puppy together soon after I get it.
I'll try to post some more up in a few days.
