... If a "Stitched" edge is to be used, ideally good quality, and fairly heavy thread should be employed ( Blanket Stitched ). With the stitches close together. ..... If a Tape Edge, well it would be interesting to see what material is actually available. Ideally, the Mill, should be able to advise as to what works best for Outdoors and Heavy Duty Applications. ( Military use, Mining and Logging type Camps require durable products, as does the Antarctic ) .... Pricing is going to be a challenge IE Heavy weight, good quality in both the material and the trim, and yet remaining "Cost Effective". And that's before one considers shipping costs, to both the Supplier and the Consumer . ........ David K

25oz is very heavy. Do you guy have a reference that you know is 20 or 25 oz?
If someone has a blanket they like, let me know the size and weight, it is easy enough to calculate.
....I THINK, most Military issued Blankets are in the 20 oz range, and that's heavy enough for most applications..... Bigger, and a bit heavier, is really nice ( Luxurious ? ) for sitting, and wrapping around oneself, at a Campfire, in the Spring or Fall. ... But it will be HEAVY ! ...... David K
20 oz might be a better way to go for shear folded size and packability.
Cheers
I am interested

i'm in for one at least. those wool blankets from the bay are killer on the wallet.
If they are at least 25oz (or a little heavier), 100% wool, and taped edges, grey, dark brown or black I'm in for four at Queen size.
