Can I use a "passport" photo for my PAL/RPAL application?

I need to get my photo done for my application for an RPAL. I had a look at the Canadian Passport website and the sizes aren't the same. But if you go to Shoppers, Costco or Walmart to get your photo taken, can I use a passport photo? Can it be in colour, or must it be Black & White?

    Thanks...

When you go, just tell whoever is taking the photo how big you need it.
A Government of Laws and not of Policies.

That's what I did, got a passport photo. You may have to trim it down a tad to get the size they need though, and it was in colour.

A simple search here would reveal many answers. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum...rearms-License As for color or black and white. Google https://www.google.ca/search?q=canad...FQx1Pgodt1wPcg

iIRC passport photo uses special paper and it may cost more. If I need one for non passport I usually ask for regular photo paper

If you go to London Drugs and tell them it's for a PAL they will give you the correct size.

Shoppers does the same. They have a template and they will keep resizing the pic until it fits accordingly

there is no requirement to have your photo taken by a professional. if you read the instructions you will discover you can take your own and print it out yourself. that's what i did.
What business is it of yours where I'm from, friendo?

I used http://www.idphoto4you.com and trimmed the picture to pal size. Cost me a dollar as I didn't want to wait.
