PAL Wait Time

Dec 17 - completed CFSC/CRFSC
Feb 2 - CFSC/CRFSC paper work came back
Feb 2 - Applied online
Feb 2 - References signed

current status - We have completed the initial review of your firearms license application.

Called the CFO today and was told that I would have to wait for the 6 month backlog and after August I can call and they will do a manual review....

I have PAL license, I did complete the RPAL in March 10, and filled out the application form and send it on April 17
They got it 2 days later
How long does it take to show up on my portal when I log in

Feb 3/4 - completed CFSC/CRFSC
Mar 13 - CFSC/CRFSC Course results arrived in mail and application submitted online
Mar 18 - All references signed
Apr 10 - Licence Issued
Apr 26 - Licence received in mail.

Are you signing into the license applicant or license holder portal? Odd that it hasn't shown up after 30+ days. Could try calling and asking. The number and extension for Ontario CFO is a few posts up.

No problem, hope they can clear it up.

Since it's a new application, check out the license applicant portal. I imagine that's where you'll find the status of your RPAL application.

Thx bub it still shoes from last year when I got PAL
Saying the application was been issued bla bla bla

I'll give them a call on Monday and finde out what's happening they deffinetly receiveed it and signe for it
I send money order check with it picture the test results all signed and good

It's strange that has not yet show up on the portal
Maybe because I'm already licence holder and this is just upgrade 🤷

Lucky. You got approved in exactly 28 days.

For me:

Feb. 17 - CFSC
Mar. 25 - CFSC result arrived by mail
Mar. 26 - PAL application submitted
Mar. 28 - All references signed, email recieved confirming application submitted for processing

I'm hoping to get approval this week, but will likely call just to make sure there aren't any flags I need to address.
