I'll be watching this on like a hawk as well.
questions though :
compatibility with medium and heavy barrels and railed fore ends?
front ferrule supported?
color options?
awesome work either way, depending on price I may be in.
Hey!
I looked at your prototype and I will be buying a norc to drop into this.
You actually have turned me onto the m-14 platform and singlehandedly talked me out of buying a 700$ keltec without speaking.
Do you have a medium or heavy barrel? Perhaps at some point in the future you can send me your rifle and I'll see what I can do for you.
Do you have to replace the plate at the front with a different part? No.
Green or Black. Any other colour that Armacoat makes for an extra charge. If there's enough demand for a colour then it may become a standard option without the extra charge. What does everyone think about Coyote Brown or White as options?
If people mail me their plastic handguards I can paint them when I paint their stocks.
tagged for interest.
Very cool stock definitely interested
just wondering what its made out of ?
Will any extra fitting be required for the m305's?
Thanks Stephan
How about using an Ultimak front rail and a Bushnell TRS-25 red dot , in a different post it was mentioned iron sights wouldn't work .Did you mean they wont work at all on these and if so why ??
6061-T6 Aluminum
No. M14S, M305 = same thing.
I honestly don't know what an Ultimak front rail will look like on my stock. My stock is super slim. How wide is the ultimak at the front? Do you have one? Mail it to me, I'll put it on, take some photos, and mail it back to you. The photos will be available to you when I do the grand unveil of the production version. How does that sound?
The cheek weld is set for an optic. That's why you can't use the irons.
There are some other options I'm considering for people who absolutely must use only iron sights, including either offering a redesigned and lower back or a fixed hardwood buttstock that slopes down at an angle at the back. Does that appeal to anyone?
A simple option might be to modify a buffer tube for an adjustable stock so that it has a downwards angle in the tube past where it screws in to the stock. Does anyone know if such a tube already exists and is available? I'll have to look into this idea when I have more time. Right now my focus is on production for those who want to use an optic.
