Angry Is Canpar that bad everywhere?

    Hello,

I purchased a rifle at elwood epps online and they shipped it to me using canpar as a carrier.

It seems that the depot in my area does not:

-Have a scanner to update the tracking number
    -Receive calls nor answers messages
-Have anyone at the depot if you just want to wind up and pick-up your order
    -Deliver nor give notice/pick-up labels

I'm clueless, can't think of anything but canpar being the most useless and lame parcel carrier.

Is it like that only for the kitimat/terrace - BC area?

They seem to have independant contractors working out of their homes, in smaller centers.
When I called their "office" where I live, I asked the young person who answered the phone, "Is this Canpar?"
She replied, "Just a minute....Mom?", then I got to speak to the representative.
Very good sevice in my area, though. Fast and very helpfull.

Yes, Canpar only has real depot in larger cities, otherwise they are a person in a van working from home, usually delivering for more than one company.

    Ah, right then.

I really never heard from them at all and was wondering if it was a common thing.

Asking around I've learned that it's a women that "delivers" for my area on Tuesdays and Thursdays though that doesn't seem to be the case for me.

I've called them and they told me I would be called back by one of their manager pretty soon, within the next one or two days. That's why I asked, having waited over two weeks already my patience is starting to reach very low levels with them.

I have encounter situations where the carrier serves a large area, and if they are not enough packages to justify the gas cost, they wait until there is. Seems to happen on Northern Vancouver island.

Maybe this is why nobody beats CanadaAmmo shipping prices(FREE).
    Worth any minor inconveniences, IMO.

Canpar in my area, southern NB, is excellent as far as scanning and updating the website, but that is about it. It is a sub contractor who does the deliveries for canpar, when i call canpar to see where i can pick it up they give me a phone number from the canpar website that just leads me back to canpar head office, where no one has any clue who actually delivers in my area.
I have found though that the delivery guy who delivers to my area is VERY consistent. If he scans the parcel out between 8-9 pm he will be at my door between 10:30-11:15, every time, without fail.

Almost all sub's. I really, really do not like them, even more so than UPS... Which is sad, because they use the exact same contractor...

I feel like somebody else received my order now...
If at least they received calls I would go right now to pick it up.
This is horrible customer service, wow.
