Doesn't matter. Ask a FRT for both. There is no logic with RCMP approval process.
The GSC STG-44 has been release before the Beretta ARX-100 stil waiting for 2 years.

The pistol version is on that is made by CZ USA, not CZ UB...AT this time we would not have any access to the pistol version. The way the RCMP do the testing and eval purpose, you might be able to call it a pistol but I would be highly suspect that we could get the higher cap mags approved for it.

There are two definitions of pistols according to the rcmp. Ones with receivers initially designed as pistol receivers, which get you pistol mags, and pistols converted from rifles which still just get you rifle mags. IE a rifle modified into a handgun.

The ar15 and xcr have receiver versions that are constructed as pistol receivers as birth and are stamped as such.

The vz58, according to the rcmp, does not.

That is why we have ar pistol mags, and not vz pistol mags, according to the rcmp lab.

The vz skorpion will likely fall in that same boat. Additionally there is the oic that says skorpion pistols are prohibited. Pretty generic, but that may limit us to the rifle versions as the rifles were made first, and aren't a variant of the pistol version. Just like the vz61.

Exactly...take a look at the factory ruger high cap 10-22 mags, perfect example.

It is great that the Evo is submitted!!!

When/if it gets approved, will it be at a lower price point than the APC9?

In any case it will be a great addition to Canada.

No, we are still waiting for the latest semi auto model 805 that is manufactured so that full auto parts can not be retro fitted in to her and she is not easily converted to full auto fire. To submit anything that does not meet the standards of the RCMP SFSS is simply a waste of everyone's time. The last I heard this latest model should be ready the end of 2016.
