    If this is actually doable I would buy a rifle for sure.

    I think there's going to be a little more then just retooling involved though. I'm thinking a heavier profile barrel and possibly a beefier receiver would be required. I can't see a 6.5 pound semi auto .308 being too fun to shoot.

    Well, it sure as heck would be lighter than the m14's coming from norc! I would like to hunt with a semi-308, but I hate the thought of lugging an m14 around the woods. Vz58 in 308 would be a good option!

    I have to agree.... .12 Gauge version would be much nicer.

    Over a short time I'd get both a .308 and 12 gauge.

    Id buy one just wish it used reall wood grips then the beaver wood ones...

    if it took m14 magaiznes that would be good enought for me since i have a few AIA magazines that work in the M14 they might work in that as well...
