I don't own a fifty but I am curious if these could be used for hunting?
It does look like a FMJ - just two dissimilar metals and no hollow tip like a TAP bullet.

    Hornady website:

    Features:
AMP Bullet Jackets (Advanced Manufacturing Process).
    Best ballistic coefficient possible.
Profile delivers low drag and flat trajectories.
Swaged lead core provides uniformity and consistency.
    Unmatched accuracy at long distances.

*Match bullets are not recommended for hunting.
Ounces leads to pounds, pounds lead to pain.
Light, strong and cheap - pick two.

They could be used for hunting. They will open up very fast and may do quite a bit of damage. I intend to try them next fall on whitetail. Who cares if there is a fist sized hole through the ribs? Not much meat there anyway!
