Mosin Heavy Barrel New Project 91/30 M44 M38

Hello I saw this on USA website. Do you think there is a demand for this in Canada. Apparently it is taking off in USA and person who does it has at least 2 month wait.

I finally decided to give this project a shot. Picked up a TGI heavy barrel, had it turned down to help it fit the stock and reduce weight. Its mounted to a 42 Izhevsk receiver which I had laying around already drilled for the mount.

I love how that super heavy barrel sniper looks, have you though of making a tactical version like in the video that would be amazing!

the worst part they have to pay a 200$ tax stamp to do that

Also its funny how they put a 2-7 scope on it and pretty much get the same results if you put a 2-7 on a good mosin or a real pu sniper.

I would be very interested in a heavy barrel for a mosin nagant. There were some in the states. brand new machine gun barrels that were mosin threaded but they were non exportable.

Not me. I shoot/buy such rifles for their historical interest and neat factor. Modern bubba jobs are equal parts pointless and fugly. If I want a heavy bench rest rifle I'd go for something appropriate with equal character like an 1885 single shot, rolling block, or a Sharps (got a Sharps )

I'm conflicted. I like sticking with the original at all times with milsurps but also liked how that Mosin looked in the video...

That rifle looks pretty accurate for a proto type.
