new belt fed coming so now rpd????

    *****update****

now expanding looking for 30 people at 100 $

    *****update****

this is a attempted list at people ready to give a 200 $ non refundable deposit to try to get a rpd classified as a non-restricted, we are looking for 15 peoples. the 200 $ would be non refundable if the firearm would be designated prohibited and a deposit for the the firearm if non restricted. the 15 peoples would be the first to get rpd's. this is all pending approval from North Sylva, its a attempt by me to get the ball rolling!

so you guys are bringing in some new belt fed from tnw and I wanted to revisit this real quick. the rpd's could not be brought in canada due to the us ban on exporting belt fed, now that this seem to have change would there be hope for some rpd's???

A tnw RPD would be AMAZING! Super cheap 7.62x39 + it being designed before 1945.... No limit on belt capacity(right?)= empty wallet but super big happy smile

I highly doubt the RPD would be allowed to be imported due to the fact that it would be viewed as an AK variant. Also, one would first have to be submitted to RCMP tech branch for evaluation before importation could ever be considered. The tech branch is not known for their quick turn-around time, so it could be at least a year before they even came out with a ruling. I think the only reason that any beltfeds like the M2HB or M37 have been allowed is because the RCMP has already had these guns to inspect many years before due to Marstar bringing them in. I doubt the RCMP would give the green light for the RPD just on it's looks alone. Not sure what the maximum round ruling would be for it either since the gun was first designed in 1943 but didn't see service till 1945. They might impose a 5 round limit which really would be a waste.

DSA Inc. lists an ATF approved semi auto RDP. If the receiver is new, it should qualify under Cdn law.
If DSA is registered for export, and if USDOS would issue an export licence, one could be imported for evaluation and classification.
There has been previous discussion about whether the belts qualify under the pre '46 rule. Apparently there were prototype RPDs used during WW2.
A RPK is an AK variant, a RPD is a different critter.
rally guy - it would cost you about three grand to get one, and find out if it is good to go here. How badly do you want to find out?
