Importing firearms from France, is it possible?

    Hi
I see lots of deactivated MAC 50 9mm pistol on french firearms site, seems that the french government is dumping all of their old MAC 50 pistols on the market (in France)
Would it be possible to import them in Canada? not deact but in working condition of course.
Heard the french Governenment do not allow the export of those pistols, is this true?

Yes we can import them.... Yes we can import them in "live condition"

I have no idea, we can look into it.

What about pistols from other parts of Europe (E.g., Netherlands, Italy, etc)? What is the process and what is the cost?

As you are aware Marstar imports from all over the world,

in most cases it is complicated, paper and permit heavy, very time consuming, and you tie up a lot of capital for a long time....

We already import from numerous countries in Europe, if new production it can fo fairly quick, 2-3 months from time of order, if they are in inventory....

If surplus then there are many more steps to complete, it can take up to 18 months befoe you see your goods....

For example we have some firearms coming in shortly that were tendered on, approved, etc, etc.... By the time they get here it will be just under a year.

What is so special about these particular handguns? Not to rain on your parade, but are they worth all the hassle required to import them?
