I recently bought 1 and the draw weight is........an estimated 30 lbs.
I can pull back the cable with one hand and I'm not that strong. You would be ok taking out a pesky raccoon or cat at 3 in the morning and not waking your neighbors, but I would stay far away from shooting any animal bigger that that.
it has a shoulder stock on it so I would not consider it to be sing handed crossbow (it'd just be awkward)
