It's really no big deal, but if you're like me and want to get the rust off them, lube 'em up with gun oil and hit them with brass of super fine (0000) steel wool. It'll clean up the rust without damaging the finish.

I got a case of 7.62*25 ammo on stripper clips, would these fit the 39 ammo as well? I'm assuming they would

Well... if you got so many, share the wealth.

Oh wait, that's socialism. I'll give you $0.05 a piece.

"Not yet," I said. "I want to study its habits.

Hopefully rust on the clips isn't an indication that the ammo itself has been damaged by moisture. The rounds are usually well sealed with lacquer to prevent this from happening.

I had a similar problem with a case of Czech 7.62x25 TT pistol rounds - it came with slightly rusty stripper clips, and about 40% of the rounds misfired.

It took forever to get through those 2200 rounds (bang - click - click - @#$% - bang - bang - click - @#$% - click - bang etc......). Moisture damaged rounds? Perhaps!

Something to watch for when you get to the range....if the rounds all fire OK, then the conditions that caused the rust on the clips didn't affect the ammo.

nope, the 7.62x25 clips will not hold the x39. they will hold 9mm though.

Remember, the vz-58 can be loaded with stripper clips, mag still on the rifle, the ak-47 cannot. Why would other nations issue ammo on clips, if their rifles couldn't use them.
Because with an adapter you can load the magazine in an AK 47 with them.

If anyone has stripper clips they are willing to part with, please message me. I'd love to take them off your hand by paying the shipping. Thanks!
