They do look like new, now I'm wondering if I need another in the cabinet.

no triangle with a number, designating the arsenal number? hmmmm...

Sublime I sent you a PM with a cool link for you to checkout if you have not already seen it! Enjoy the SKS's and warning, they duplicate. Once you have one you will soon have 3 or 4. and since you started with 2 look out

Very nice - the stock on my Type 56 is HORRID - don't know how they let it out of the factory.

These ones have the hold open device so the bolt stays back on the last round fired and it's designed to accept a stripper clip for quick reloading. My SKS-D does not have that feature, unfortunately. For a brand new SKS and for $189.00, this is a pretty sweet deal. I don't know where John finds these things but I guess it's time for one more. Good one Marstar!

Wow those are some incredibly beautiful stocks. Mine (the SKS package with a hardcase) is not that good quality (but the accuracy is excellent to make up for it). I would like to see more pictures. Were those stocks the way they came? Or did you refurnish them Sublime? I thought those were Yugo SKS's. The quality of the metal components were not that good either on the Norc SKS's.... but the Yugo's are beautiful all the way around.

The stocks do look great for a Chinese sks, but the Russian laminated stock is extremely tough to beat for a wood stock.

They definitely did not look that good out of the box. I repeatedly heated and cleaned until there was no cosomoline left coming out, removed the rest with stripper, then some sanding (sponge pads work the best). That's all at this point, but after a few more days of drying, I'll do a few coats of BLO.
