I would be interested in one too, even in fair/good condition. As long as it has a folding bayonet and shoots half decent!

AK—– You buy cheap ammo by the case.
AR– You lovingly reload precision crafted rounds one by one.
MOSIN NAGANT You dig your ammo out of a farmer’s field in Ukraine and it works just fine.

Not to step on any toes, but the Chinese M44/53 carbines selling in the US came out of Albania not China itself. I contacted the Importer and their "end user certificate" specified that the carbines were not to be sold outside the USA. Hopefully, Marstar can locate a source in China and bring some in for the Canadian Market.

I don't know whether I'd really want one or not now, myself, given the tails of the rough shape they are in. I have a modest mosin collection, and even so there isn't really room in it for something in Fair condition. Not when a nice Russian or Polish example can be had for similar money.

I get it if one is collecting Peoples Army weapons, however

A man can dream about an all matching type 53 with a shiny bore. Maybe one day someone will make my dream come true.
